The total cost is made up of “Design + Approval” expenses which start at $7,000, plus the cost of materials and the cost of labour. The cost of labour changes whether you decide to arrange individual trades yourself, such as a carpenter, plumber or electrician. Or if you decide to pay a builder directly, understanding there is a ‘Builders Margin’ added to the labour component.
